Enter your salary to estimate your take-home pay after Income Tax, employee National Insurance, pension contributions and student loan repayments – shown by year, month, week or day.
Estimate take-home pay for NHS England staff on Agenda for Change, for {tax_year}, 2025/26 or 2024/25. Select your band and pay point rather than entering a salary directly, and this calculator works out your gross pay, NHS Pension contribution, tax, National Insurance and student loan. This calculator covers England Agenda for Change staff only, not doctors, dentists, Very Senior Managers, or staff in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.
Estimate employee Class 1 National Insurance on your annual employment income for {tax_year}, 2025/26 or 2024/25, assuming the standard Category A. This calculator provides an annual estimate; employee National Insurance is normally calculated separately for each pay period, so your actual payroll deductions can differ if your earnings vary during the year.
Getting a bonus on top of your normal salary changes what you take home, but not by a simple flat percentage. Enter your normal salary and bonus amount to see the extra Income Tax, National Insurance and Student Loan deductions the bonus causes, and how much of it you actually keep.
Estimate your annual UK Student Loan repayment for {tax_year}, 2025/26 or 2024/25. Select your undergraduate repayment plan and whether you also have a Postgraduate Loan; this calculator works out what you repay above each applicable threshold.
Work out the tax due on income from savings, dividends, rental property and combined income sources.
Combine salary, self-employed profit, UK residential rental income, savings interest and dividends into one Income Tax and National Insurance estimate, using one Personal Allowance for your whole income. Leave any section at £0 if it does not apply to you. This is an estimate, not a Self Assessment calculation.
Estimate how much Income Tax you will pay on your annual income for {tax_year}, 2025/26 or 2024/25, including your Personal Allowance and applicable tax bands. This calculator covers Income Tax only; use the Salary Calculator for full take-home pay.
Estimate the total UK Income Tax caused by your dividends for 2026/27, 2025/26 or 2024/25. This includes the Dividend Tax charged directly on your dividends, and any extra ordinary Income Tax caused if your dividends reduce your Personal Allowance.
Estimate the tax due on your UK savings interest for {tax_year}, 2025/26 or 2024/25. Tax on savings interest depends on your other income, your Personal Allowance, the Starting Rate for Savings and your Personal Savings Allowance, not a flat percentage of your interest.
Estimate how much Income Tax you may pay on UK residential rental income as an individual landlord, after allowable expenses, property losses and residential mortgage finance-cost relief, taking your other taxable income into account. This is an estimate, not a Self Assessment calculation.
Mortgage repayments, Stamp Duty and other property-related calculations.
Estimate monthly mortgage repayments, total interest and loan-to-value for a repayment or interest-only mortgage. This is an estimate for general guidance, not a mortgage offer, affordability assessment or lending decision.
Estimate Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) on a residential property purchase in England or Northern Ireland, for a standard purchase, a qualifying first-time buyer purchase, or an additional property. This calculator does not cover Scotland or Wales, which have their own property transaction taxes.
Select your council and Council Tax band for an estimate of your annual and monthly Council Tax in 2026/27. Covers England, Wales and Scotland. Council Tax is a separate household bill, not a deduction from your pay; an optional take-home pay comparison is shown separately below, clearly labelled, never merged into any payroll figure.
VAT, self-employment and small-business tax calculators.
Estimate Income Tax and Class 4 National Insurance for UK self-employed sole traders, for {tax_year}, 2025/26 or 2024/25. This calculator is for sole traders only, not limited companies or company directors.
If you are employed and also self-employed, your Income Tax is calculated on your combined income together, not as two separate calculations. Enter your salary and self-employed profit to see your total estimated tax and National Insurance, and the extra amount your self-employed profit adds.
Add VAT to a net amount, remove VAT from a VAT-inclusive amount, or work out the VAT amount itself, using the standard, reduced, zero or a custom VAT rate.
